Galen-Rowell-2_medium

This is a photography by Glen Rowell. Glen Rowell is well known for his start with National Geographic. He was never afraid to go to any limits to get a photo, such as, rock climbing to get the shot he was after. Glen Rowell has set new standards with film when it comes to depth, lighting, and filter. This is one of my favorite photos by Glen Rowell because of how it is dark around the waterfall and then there is an orange light right in the middle. The orange really helps to make the viewer focus on the waterfall. It makes the eye see it from the top all the way down to the bottom of the waterfall. The blue in the sky also helps to bring the viewers eye right to the waterfall because it give a starting point for them to look at. The orange light helps to see the details in the rocks too.
